NIagara Qualifies for National Tournament

By John Spanbauer

The National Collegiate Club Golf Association (NCCGA) hosted the 2nd golf tournament of the season in Northeast Region at Greystone Golf Club on October 14 & 15, 2017. Niagara showed a strong performance and won the division with a combined score of 801. SUNY ESF finished a close second with a score of 805 and St. Bonaventure finishing third with a score of 818.  The first day of competition was a beautiful day with Joe Napoli leading all Niagara golfers by posting a score of 75. The second day of competition was a very windy day with gust up to 50 mph and caused some crazy and difficult golf shots. The Purple Eagles made it through the windy conditions and Andy Depuy carded a 76 which would be the low score on the second day of the tournament.  here are the top 5 finishers for Niagara:

  1. Joseph Napoli      75 + 80 = 155
  2. Zachary Farkas    77 + 80 = 157
  3. Andrew Dupuy     84 + 76 = 160
  4. Nick Matos           77 + 85 = 162
  5. Michael MacPheson 85 + 86 = 171
