Niagara Eagles kept up their winning streak this weekend, as Women's Club Hockey they took on SUNY Geneseo and local team Wheatfield Blades. Against Geneseo, senior Emma Hassen scored her first goal of the season, and Natasha Fryer got a hat trick, assisted twice by Addison Marino. Danene Stevens played a solid game, letting in only two goals while Niagara scored 11. Erika Wenzke was a play maker, assisting 4 goals in one game, with a total of 6 points on the weekend. Newcomer Olivia Accarso also had a stand out weekend with 4 assists.
Playing against Wheatfield, Jessica Schug and freshman Bethany Bouthillier each got their first goals of the season. Lauren Fontaine passing to Schug who wrapped around the net to sneak in a powerplay goal. The final score was 6-4, Niagara, giving them their 5th win of the season. This weekend, they hit the road and take on SUNY Oswego on Sunday, October 28th at 2 pm.
